There is a difference between dental crowns and bridges, but they are closely related. Let's begin with crowns. In essence, a crown is a false tooth with a hollow interior. Designed to cover the entire remaining structure of your existing tooth, right down to the gum line, it fits over your existing tooth. Enamel that has been damaged or is vulnerable is covered up by this.

To preserve as much natural tooth as possible, your dentist will only remove the necessary amount of enamel to place your crowns or bridges. Both procedures also don’t involve any serious oral surgery, only the removal of some of the outer layers of your teeth.
Bridges usually last between 10-15 years, and crowns can easily last 20+ years with proper care. Investing in a crown or bridge will protect your smile and your oral health for years to come.

This was my 2nd visit to Rome McClellan and it was as good as my first! The entire staff is friendly and happy to see you. I was a few minutes late and Madi, the hygienist was waiting for me at the front desk. She did an excellent job cleaning my teeth, answering my questions and explaining what and why she was doing something when needed and was fun to talk to. Dr. McClellan did a quick check-up at the end, and told me one thing he was watching and took a picture so he could show me on the screen. Everyone is on the same page in regards to dental health and you can tell they are intentional with their work. I feel as if I’m in good hands.
