Dr. James Tyler Berger is a Shawnee, Kansas native and graduate of the University of North Texas and Texas A&M College of Dentistry. He began his career in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, providing care for both the Cherokee Nation and the broader Tahlequah community, where he gained extensive experience in restorative dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, and patient-centered sedation techniques.
Dr. Berger’s favorite part of dentistry has always been the people. He’s passionate about building long-term relationships, creating a comfortable experience, and helping patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. For him, dentistry is at its best when it blends compassion, communication, and high-quality clinical care.
Now continuing his career in the Kansas City area, Dr. Berger is grateful to serve the community he grew up in.
Outside the office, Dr. Berger enjoys birding, watching sports, traveling, and continually learning more about dentistry. He also loves cooking and eating with his wife, a pastry chef—meaning he never has to look far for dessert. Patients can rest easy knowing there’s no sugar shaming in his chair.
